Cyberpunk Is Dead

For some insane reason I decided to begin blogging. 

I’m sure you’ve heard of the new GPL’d SimCity release, more information on Hopkin’s blog.  It is destined for One Laptop per Child (OLPC) Project’s machines. So being the fan of the original SNES version, I fired up my compiler. With some help from slashdot comments I was able to get a build on my Mac running Leopard. 

• Download micropolis-activity-source.tgz 
• Get stargo’s patch at http://rmdir.de/~michael/micropolis_mac-osx.patch  
• tar xvzf micropolis-activity-source.tgz
• make sure that the “micropolis-activity” directory is in the same directory as the .patch 
• patch < micropolis_mac-osx.patch -p2 
• cd micropolis-activty/src/
• make
• make install
• cd ..
• ./Micropolis (Thanks Teo)
